The Key

Somewhere within we hold the key to ourselves.  This doll was inspired by this thought. There is a peace, and reassurance in her look that hopefully will come with discovering the key to our inner selves.

24 inch doll sits on an 8 inch wooden base. She is sculpted from Stone Clay, hand painted with water colors and dressed in scrim.  In her hand is vintage reproduction key on a maroon colored tassel. 

As in all my dolls she is a hand sculpted one of a kind original.

Maria Isabela

(was said to have beautiful in her day)

Maria holds on to the days of her youth when she was said to have been beautiful.  She holds on to memories of dancing with the young men at the ball and being the center of their attention.  Looking back perhaps she fails to appreciate that she has simply grown old but her beauty remains.Sculpted in polymer clay, hand painted and dressed in evening gown made from vintage fabrics and brocades.  She sits on a chair and measures approximatly 20 inches tall.

Tabula Rasa

Tabula Rasa translates to "pristine vision."  There are times perhaps only very small moments when we see our life with complete clarity. Tabula represents one of these moments of pristine vision.

She is sculpted in mixed media. She is 12 inches seated, head is in stone clay and hands and feet are in polymer.  She is dressed in scrim with silk cocoons and rods.
